The kitchen on the St. Patrick’s Church has been completed and is now operating.
The official opening of the Fort St James Christian Outreach Kitchen and Food Bank, located at St Patrick’s Church, will take place at 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 14.
This is to say “Thank-you” to all those who have helped to make the food bank and kitchen happen, and to share fellowship through the free barbecue being provided to members of the community as well as invited guests.
The Lunch Program has been active since November of 2010 and is currently provided by St Patrick’s Anglican, Free Evangelical, Camp Living Water, and Our Lady of Snows Roman Catholic Churches.
The Food Bank offers bi-weekly hampers to the needy and is run by volunteers.
