The municipal elections are taking place this week, on Nov. 19 for the Fort St. James mayor and council.

The municipal elections are taking place this week, on Nov. 19 for the Fort St. James mayor and council.

Eligible voters who live within the District of Fort St. James boundaries or own property within it can go to the District of Fort St. James Municipal office at 477 Stuart Drive between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.

There are four candidates running for mayor: Mayor Sandra Harwood, Councillor Brenda Gouglas, Rod MacDougall, and Ann McCormick.

There are five candidates running for seats on the council: Councillor Dave Birdi, Dave Burgess, Riley Willick, Joan Burdeniuk and Russ Gingrich.
