Renters can now to distinguish better landlords from the crowd, according to Landlord BC.

The organization opened a registry to keep track of landlords who have taken a two-hour online course on the Residential Tenancy Act, including issues such as how much notice is required when entering a tenant’s unit and how to maintain a good relationship with a tenant.

Landlords who earn at least 80 per cent during the course will be given an ‘I Rent It Right” certificate and be added to a database that renters can search.
