The Fort St. James RCMP were once again kept busy last week.
On Wednesday, September 28, RCMP members responded to a report of a domestic assault at Manson Creek.
Vera Poole from Tsay Keh Dene in the north has now been charged for assaulting her partner and will appear in court on November 15. The 56-year-old woman has since been released until the court appearance.
This is not the Fort St. James resident of the same name, Vera J. Poole, 44 years old, who manages the Sana'aih Bakery and is a second degree black belt and the head instructor for the Fort St. James Family Tai Kwon Doe Club.
A unique version of a bicycle tour was halted on September 30. One intoxicated male was pushing a bicycle on Highway 27 near the Petro Canada station and was picked up by police.
The man said he was heading to the Hart Highway, but had no helmet, no shoes and had sustained scrapes and bruises from falls from the bike.
The male had been picked up at around 8 p.m. on the Friday, and was held overnight.
On October 2 at 10:30 a.m., RCMP members attended a domestic assault on the Tache reserve. One female was taken into custody.
Charges will be recommended in relation to the assault of her male partner, and the woman will appear in court on January 17.
A break and enter at Tache reserve resulted in the theft of two rifles.
One rifle has been recovered, after it was purchased by a person who hadn’t realized the firearm had been stolen.
The RCMP are still investigating and continue looking for a second rifle, a .308 caliber Savage rifle model 99.
Charges in relation to the incident have been recommended against one male who will be appearing in court on January 3, 2012.

Another break and enter also took place on Yekooche reserve on October 2.
One Xbox was stolen and is still missing.
