Henry Friesen

Henry Friesen passed away November 10th, 2010 in G. R. Baker hospital in Quesnel, BC with his wife at his side.


He was born in Winkler, MB on January 16th, 1940 and moved with his family to Vanderhoof, BC when he was a young child. He married his wife, Louise, in 1966 and moved to Quesnel in 1967. He worked at Weldwood until his retirement in 2002.


He was predeceased by his parents – Aganetha and Abraham, two brothers – Abe and Jake and two sisters – Nettie and Helen. He is survived by his wife Louise, three daughters – Diane, Sharon (Nick) and Joanne, one son – Michael (Hanni), six grandchildren – Shawn (Desiree), Daniel, Sarah, Megan, Andrew and James, one great-grandchild – Chance, three brothaers – Herman (Margaret), Willie (Tina) and Dave (Tina) and two sisters – Elizabeth (Jake) and Margaret (Bernie), as well as many other family members and friends. A celebration of his life was held at Northstar Church on November 15th, 2010.


Henry had a strong faith in God, a great and unconditional love for his family, a wonderful sense of humour and was always ready and willing to help anyone in need. His legacy of faith, love and honour will live on in all of us who loved him.
