Peter Robert Porsnuk December 1938-
November 2014.
Peter Porsnuk age 75 of Fort St. James BC Passed away with his loving wife and best friend by his side on Thursday, November 27th at 7:05am after a long hard fought battle with Parkinsons and COPD.
Born to the late William and Rosena Porsnuk on December 18th,1938 in Saskatchewan.
Peter left Weeks Saskatchewan at the age of 15 with 25 cents in his pocket and moved to Vancouver Island where he worked doing highlead logging.
From Vancouver Island Peter moved to Prince George to work in the logging industry. It was in Prince George where Peter met his future wife and best friend of 53 years Francis Fehr. Fran and Peter were married in Prince George and settled in Fort. St. James in 1964.
While in Fort. St. James Peter ran the Headrig at River bank sawmill for many years. Eventually, Riverbank was purchased by Canfor and closed down. Peter worked the remainder of his 44 years at Talka Forest Products until he retired at the age of 65.
Peter was an amazing husband, father, Grandfather and
friend. He always had time for anyone in need and was there to help in any way he could. His kind spirit, quick wit and loyalty, will be missed by all that have had the pleasure to call Peter a friend.
Peter is survived by his immediate family, spouses and his four grandkids Dakota, Madison, Derek and Liv.
Peter enjoyed work, the outdoors, hunting, fishing, hockey day in Canada, baseball, Johnny Cash, his favourite toque, and time with family, friends and grandkids.

A celebration of life will be held at The Columbus Community Centre at 7201 Domano Blvd. in Prince George on December 6th at 11:00am.
