The beach is the place to be in the summer.

However, low team enrolment in beach volleyball means there may not be as much volleyball going on at Cottowood Beach this year.

The deadline for teams to sign up is June 7 and without enough teams, the program may be shelved this season according to Caitlyn Burdeniuk, the District of Fort St. James Recreational Coordinator.

So far only three teams have registered for the season, and the district needs at least five or six to make the season a go.

Teams play Monday and Wednesday evenings of June, July and August with an optional at the end of August.
