Right off the drop, Smithers scored a goal, setting the stage for their nine-five victory over Fort St. James on Sunday, Nov. 24 at the Fort Forum.

After Smithers pulled away in the first half of the first period with a two-nothing lead, Fort St. James came back to score two more in the first period and tie it up.

But the second period saw Smithers make three more goals and Fort St. James began to fall behind with only one in the second, leaving them trailing with three to Smithers five.

The third period saw the gap widen, as Smithers put in four goals in the first half of the period, with Fort only getting one in the same time frame, and then scoring one more with less than three minutes to go.
