The Fort St. James National Historic Park put on a party for Queen Victoria’s birthday on May 23. There was a free breakfast, a fashion show, a chance to tour the park, games and tea and pound cake to honour the historic monarch. The turn out for the event was impressive, with the parking lot overflowing onto the road.

Kris Cooper was one of the winners of the Victoria Fashion Show, awarded by applause. Cooper looked lovely in a beautiful Victorian dress with a shawl and basket, which also came in handy for carrying the chocolates she won.
