February is Amnesty Month

February is Amnesty Month at the Fort St. James Bicentennial Library! Fines will be forgiven on any overdue items returned to the library during the month of February 2011, so take advantage of this opportunity to return your long overdue items free of charge and place your library account back in good standing. You can bring the items in to our circulation desk or return them in our blue drop box located outside the library entrance.

Tiny Tots @ Your Library

The winter session of Tiny Tots @ Your Library is now underway and will continue every Thursday morning from 10 to 11:30 a.m. until March 17, 2011. This is a parent-child group program which includes rhymes, songs, and stories. It is designed for children from birth to 3 years and their caregivers, but older siblings are welcome to join in as well. The program is free of charge. Registration is encouraged but drop-ins are also welcome. A snack is provided for the children. Studies have shown that early literacy programs such as Tiny Tots @ Your Library help to increase a child’s developmental readiness for entering the school system.
