Rocky Mountain House has a well-established Metis program and so the interpreters were passing on some of their knowledge to the local interpreters and visitors to Metis Day in Fort.
Rachel Ruhland who also works at the Rocky Mountain House but is employed by the Metis Association for the position, was demonstrating as well, showing visitors how to start a fire using traditional flint and steel and historical games.
