Participants in the recreation programs offered by the District of Fort St. James and coordinated by Caitlyn Burdeniuk were out at Paarens Beach recently for the Kids Camp Out, one of a wide range of activity-filled days for kids.

And four years after her first hunting trip, he is preparing Calla for her biggest competition yet, the Canadian National Masters, in the hopes of attaining the ultimate title of “national master hunter.” Grill and Calla left to travel down to Crawford, B.C., on August 8, where the pair will train for three days with a professional dog trainer and a group of other competitors to prepare for the competition.

Paul Inden, president of the local sailing club, makes his way home on his boat, a unique craft made by Hobie, which can be paddled, pedaled or sailed, depending on wind or desire. Inden boats to his work at the forestry office on Stuart Lake, as he lives just a bit further up the lake in Stones Bay.

Taylor (left) and Heather Sapergia from Prince George came in their historical frontier teepee to participate in Heritage Days. Camping out, they delivered historical talks and black powder demos at the Fort St. James Historic Park on the August long weekend.

Ken Relkoff, an experienced RC pilot who has been involved in the hobby for around 37 years, is heading up the group, and he has been involved in starting clubs all over. In the Fort since 2006, he connected with another RC enthusiast and it has grown from there.
