The Fort St. James Minor Hockey Association (FSJMHA) hosted its annual year-end Jamboree on March 6.

This event is a fun opportunity for all teams within the organization to come together and play, while also expressing gratitude and raising awareness for the sponsors and volunteers who make hockey possible in the community.

FSJMHA is a non-profit organization serving as the proud home of over 90 young athletes. Its mission is to significantly increase participation by eliminating barriers and promoting inclusivity. The organization envisions a welcoming environment where anyone wishing to engage in minor hockey can do so safely, sportsmanlike and enjoyably.

Players in the FSJMHA program gain more than just hockey skills; they also develop teamwork, dedication and respect.

The league operates entirely on volunteer efforts with all coaches, assistant coaches, team managers and board members contributing their time freely.

While the league has many dedicated volunteers, it is always seeking more support. Its members work hard to keep registration fees as low as possible to ensure hockey remains accessible to all. To achieve this, the league relies on the generosity of its sponsors.

Registration for the 2025/2026 hockey season will open this summer, alongside the annual Gear Swap. Any child interested in trying out hockey is encouraged to reach out to the organization.
