The Fall Fair is making its comeback at the Nechako Valley Exhibition Grounds from August 16 to 18. Since its inception in 1965, the fair has grown into a cherished annual tradition. This year’s 56th Annual Nechako Valley Exhibition promises to offer thrilling entertainment for guests of all ages.

"The Fall Fair Committee of the Nechako Valley Exhibition Society is excited to be once again hosting the Exhibition," Alex Kulchar chair of the committee said.

Feature acts this year include Joel Lybbert, Canada’s steer whisperer, featuring buffalo, steer and mule riding as well as rope tricks and rope making.

The Family Fun zone will feature a waterslide as well as the x factor obstacle course and a tropical bounce and slide all weekend with the price of admission.

Jack Jackson will MC the activities as well as have a show on Saturday (Aug. 17) paying tribute to Johnny Cash and a tribute to Marty Robbins on Sunday (Aug. 18).

Uncle Chris the Clown will once again be performing as well as Magician, Greg Ladret. The Dave Forsberg band will highlight local talent and the popular lawn mower races are back too.

"These features as well as the Heavy Horse shows and pull, open beef shows, commercial exhibits, exhibit building, the extreme trail competition, small animal barn, human tractor pull for charity and pony rides, as well as all the 4H achievement shows and displays as well as the 4H auction will keep visitors to the Fair busy deciding what to take in next," Kulchar added.
