BCEHS officials in Fort St. James host community engagement event

BC Emergency Health Services officials, welcomed the community to an engaging open day event at the Fort St James ambulance station on April 5.

Community paramedic John Togyi and Unit Chief Daniel Peacock treated attendees to an insightful tour of the station, including the ambulance and parking bay, where they gained firsthand knowledge of paramedic tools and procedures.

The event drew a large turnout and saw the participation of over 18 children accompanied by their caretakers. Highlights of the open house included thrilling medical trivia sessions and detailed breakdowns of paramedic equipment.

To conclude the event on a festive note, attendees enjoyed ambulance-themed crafts and delectable baked goods. Togyi expressed his enthusiasm for future events aimed at fostering stronger connections between the community and local emergency services.
