FSJSS & LDSS girls’ soccer team head to provincials after winning zones

Fort St. James Senior Secondary (FSJSS) and LDSS senior girls football teams excelled at zones championship held in Prince George this week.

FSJSS secured the top spot at the zone championship, with LDSS coming in second. The teams are now set to compete in the provincials to be held in Kamloops from May 28 to June 2.

FSJSS players Kira James and Leila Gingrich received special recognition for their exceptional contributions. James was distinguished as the tournament’s top midfielder, while Gingrich’s outstanding performance merited her the title of tournament MVP, underscoring their exemplary leadership and skill.

Similarly, LDSS players distinguished themselves with outstanding performances. Jadyn Varga’s exemplary display earned her recognition as the top forward, while Ally Shively’s adept goalkeeping skills secured her the position of top goalie.
