A prescribed burn took place along the west shore of Stuart Lake on May 2. The activity was conducted by Nak’azdli Whut’en with support from the BC Wildfire Service to enhance community protection and reduce wildfire risk. There were three primary burn locations targeted covering approximately 8.5 hectares. The burn areas and will be visible from the surrounding areas, and to motorists travelling along Highway 27.
