The next time you enter Fort St. James, you will be greeted by a brightly revamped welcome sign.

These signs say a lot about a place introducing visitors, welcoming them and giving them a glimpse into what a particular place is all about.

Aaron Leon who works for the Public Works Dept. in Fort St. James has been busily refurbishing the sign.

“It’s not quite done yet,” Leon said. “I’m still going to add a roof to keep the sign looking fresh.”

The sign illustrates the marvelous landscape and wildlife that Fort St. James has to offer.

“DesignStreamline Signs and Graphics in Vanderhoof designed it,” Leon said.

The project has taken Leon about two weeks so far.

“It’s been sanded and repainted. I’m going to keep on top of it with a clear coat finish on a regular basis to keep the sign looking fresh and new.”
