A bomb threat cleared an area of downtown Prince George today.

A bomb threat cleared an area of downtown Prince George today.

At 8:30 a.m., RCMP responded to a 9-1-1 call of a bomb in a bank in the 400 block of Victoria Street.

Businesses within a one block radius were evacuated and the roads were closed while a police service dog searched the building for explosives.

No explosives were found and at 12:15 p.m., people and traffic were allowed to return to the area.

RCMP are now investigating to try and determine the person or persons responsible.
