Coupons at $2.00 each are continuing to be purchased at Overwaitea in Fort St James.
The coupons help support the local food bank.
“It’s amazing. The coupons have accumulated $360 in just six weeks. Our community is very generous,” Overwaitea employee, Marylou Flora Fonda said.
The funds raised in coupons will help purchase the food needed for food parcels that go out to help those in need within the community.
“But there is always a need for more people to volunteer also,” food bank treasurer, Judy Greenaway said.
Sort days take place on the third Tuesday of each month and food is then distributed the day after to preregistered people.
