On the morning of May 12, people in Fort St. James were alarmed when a power outage took place affecting most of the community.
At approximately 9:48 a.m., the Fort St. James Fire Dept. attended a fire caused by a power pole on fire.
The pole fell which led to power lines coming down across Highway 27, just south of Airport Road.
There was no power and traffic was halted for several hours.
Power was finally restored at approximately 9:15 p.m.
