Fort man charged with PG robbery

Douglas Wayne Joseph from Fort St. James has been charged with robbery after a violent attempt to steal a camera.

Joseph, 27 years old, was arrested in connection with an incident on Feb. 25, when a man was walking wit his camera on Fourth Avenue and Dominion in Prince George.

The victim said he was approached by a man who tried to take his camera from him, which he refused to give up and the victim then attempted to flee into a nearby business.

The suspect followed the man into the store, and reportedly struck the victim several times until he was interrupted by witnesses.

The victim then followed the suspect and photographed him with his camera and called police, giving them a detailed description.

Joseph was then later arrested without incident the afternoon of Feb. 26 in Prince George.

Joseph was making a first appearance on the charge of robbery on Feb. 27.
