Training continues at the Fort St. James Fire Department.

A practice night was held on Sept. 8 and members of the Dept. were put to the test as they put out the flames from a burning car.

But members were also recognized for their hard work and dedication on the same evening.

Four officers in training were promoted to lieutenants according to Fire Chief, Michael Navratil.

The four members include: Lina Gasser, Terri-Anne Houghton, Steve Karey and Karl Poculan.

And Curtis Macdonald was promoted to Assistant Chief.
