This year’s theme is book a trip.

And the Fort St. James Public Library invites all kids to partake in the 2016 BC Summer Reading Club.

Kids of all ages will receive a special reading record to keep track of their reading and if they read for 15 minutes a day for 50 days, they will be awarded a special Summer Reading Club medal and other prizes at the end of the summer.

Kids can read whatever they want, whenever and wherever they like. Kids can read to themselves or listen to someone reading to them.

The library will host Summer Reading Club meetings once a week for stories, activities, games, crafts and fun.

Weekly themes will include: discover the universe, explore your own backyard, wander into the past, tour the world, travel using your imagination, journey by planes trains and automobiles and play around the globe.

Registration is free.

Meetings will be held on Tuesdays between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. at the library beginning July 5.
