The senior girls soccer team from Fort St. James Secondary School competed in the Zones Tournament at the Rotary Fields in Prince George from May 18-20.

All teams braved cool and windy conditions but continued to battle hard until the end.

It was a close finish for all five teams who competed.

Eight out of the ten games were decided by a single goal.

Two games went into extra time and one went into a shootout.

Congratulations to Fort St. James player, Colby Wilson who was selected by a group of eight referees as the tournament MVP.

2nd place – LDSS – qualified for provincials

3rd place – Northside – qualified for provincials

Fort St. James will be hosting the Single “A” Senior Girls Provincial Championships from June 2-4 at the Prince George Rotary Soccer Fields. There will be 16 teams with over 300 student athletes competing for the provincial championship title.
