The KEY resource centre, a landmark feature on Stuart Drive downtown Fort St. James, has been operating since July 2013, when it first opened at the CNC campus. The Key is open every Monday, Wednesday and Friday and provides a space for community members to interact, have a meal or a snack and play games like crib. They also offer health, life and literacy outreach services to assist learners moving towards a healthier level of emotional/social health and well-being.

At this time of year Cindy Tom and Bernise Wilkes are working steady to get Christmas hampers filled with goodies to give out to needy adults in the community. Wilkes explained that donations of items such as toiletries and warm clothing items like gloves and toques are a greatly appreciated.

The Key also have a Christmas turkey dinner planned for this week for anyone who would like to be blessed at a time of year that can be difficult for people.
