The Logger’s Curling Bonspiel weekend kicked off with 25 teams who participated on March 18.

The Fort St. James Curling Club was full of experienced curlers, beginners, and those who were simply there to support their favorite teams.

The Bonspiel proves that the sport of curling is still alive and well in Fort St. James just shortly after the Curling Club celebrated their 40th anniversary in February.

It was an exciting final on March 20 as the final teams took to the ice.

And it was especially so for first time player and winner of the “A” event, 11-year old Graham Work.

Winners of the Fort St. James 2016 Logger’s Bonspiel:

“B” event – Joanne Leggatt, Kevin Van Koughnett, Julie Rix and Norm Leggatt

“C” event – Kara Auchstaetter, Tina Auchstaetter, Lynda Work and Kim Repko
