Heritage Week was celebrated on Feb. 13 – 19.

But it doesn’t end here.

My Canada, My B.C. inspires everyone to explore and enjoy their heritage, places and spaces throughout British Columbia and across the country as Canada celebrates 150 years of confederation this year.

And in Fort St. James, all are invited to partake in a poster contest in celebration of the beauty and history within the community.

Posters are based on what “My Canada, My B.C.” means to you. Completed posters can be dropped off at the Fort St. James District Office.

Winning posters will be made into banners to be put up downtown in the upcoming summer months.

Posters must:

-          Be created by an individual

-          No bigger than 11x17

-          Use pencil, crayon or paint

-          Attach name, address and phone number

Categories:

Primary – Grades 1, 2 and 3

Junior – Grades 4, 5 and 6

Intermediate – Grades 7, 8 and 9

Senior – Grades 10, 11 and 12

Pick up your entry form at the District Office. The contest runs from Feb. 15 – 28. Judging will take place the first week in March.
