New board member for CNC

Dan Marcotte is the newly appointed member of the College of New Caledonia's Board Executive

PRINCE GEORGE — A PG lawyer and innovator and former CNC instructor is the newly appointed member of the College of New Caledonia's Board Executive, appointed February 1, 2017 and sworn in Saturday, March 4, 2017.

Dan Marcotte is a Partner with Marcotte Law, Real Estate Lawyers and Notaries. Mr. Marcotte has practiced law since 1981 and specializes in corporate,business and real estate law. Previously, Mr. Marcotte was an instructor of law and economics at the College of New Caledonia.

During his career, he was the creator of econveyance, the world's first internet-based real estate transaction platform that now hosts the largest network of Conveyancer professionals in Western Canada.

Mr. Marcotte holds his Bachelor of Commerce degree (Finance and Land Economics) and his Bachelor of Law from the University of BC. He obtained a Masterof International Business Law (MIBL) from the University of Lyon II in France and his Master of Law from the Catholic University of Lyon.

He resides in Prince George, B.C.

"I know that Mr. Marcotte's local and global experience will add to the strengths of the College and the current Board," said Lee Doney, (Acting) Chair of the CNC Board of Governors. "We're thrilled to have him on the Board."

Board members appointed by the Lieutenant Governor in Council (OIC) are appointed for a term of one year and eligible for reappointment for two further terms of two years and three years respectively, for a total of six years.
