Margaret Mattess will be the new principal of Sowchea Elementary this fall.
Mattess was in a dual role this year as teacher and vice principal for aboriginal education.
Charlene Seguin, superintendent of School District 91, to to Sowchea School in person to announce the appointment.
Mattess will take the position as of August 1, 2012, and Cam McCormick will be retiring at the end of this school year.
