May 31, 1932 - March 1, 2019
In memory of our father ~ Adam passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Friday March 1st, 2019 in Parksville.
Adam is survived by his daughters Brenda (Art) McCarthy, Karen (Luc) Ouellet, brother Donnie Ross and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Adam was born in Teulon, Manitoba and at age 17 moved to Nelson, BC to work with his uncle and also enjoyed working as a guide.
Much of Adam's life revolved around his love of the outdoors. Adam worked with BC Forest Service in Prince George for many years before moving to Fort St James in 1974 as Scale Supervisor where he could be found at the Canfor log sort.
He also joined the FSJ Curling League & came home with many trophies! After his retirement from Scaling in 1997, Adam's time was spent around his house where he enjoyed gardening and was very happy to share the bounty of vegetables & fruit with his neighbours.
After a serious stroke in 2015, Adam moved to Vancouver Island where he could be closer to his daughters and grandchildren.
The family would like to extend their thanks to all the residents of Fort St. James for their support and to Dr. Anthon Meyer and the staff of the Stuart Lake General Hospital for the excellent care during his stay there. As well our gratitude and thanks to the staff at Stanford Place for their care and support during his time there.
