March 1, 2008

Born in 1942 on a farm in Kamsack, Saskatchewan to Verna and Joe Juozaitis.

Fred was the eldest of six children. The family moved to Wardner, British Columbia in the late 1950’s and on to Cranbrook in the early 1960’s.

Throughout his working years, Fred was involved in various activities. He was a manager of the Sullivan Hotel in Kimberley, a camp cook for his guide/outfitter brother, Joey and a Drug and Alcohol Counsellor in Native Communities. Fred spent almost 20 years in the bosom of AA and it’s members.

Fred is survived by his brothers Francis (Norma) of Cranbrook, and Chris (Patti) of Sechelt, and his sisters Maryann Juozaitis of Oliver and Vikki Gibson of Cranbrook.

Fred spent the last months of his life under the tender loving care of the amazing staff at Joseph Creek Care Village.
