Jim was born in Cartwright, Labrador on
September 25, 1927. He moved to Fort St.
James in 1937, with Mother, Father, and
Brother. Jim played hockey, softball, went
to school, and in 1950 he met La-Vieve his
wife of 56 years. Jim was well known in Fort
St. James for many reasons, the most common
being his 38 years in public service as
Post Master. Jim loved the outdoors and until
his passing on September 7, 2008. He was
most passionate about placer mining, fi shing,
traveling, and his family. Jim will be sadly
missed and remembered by his loving wife
La-Vieve, his children Dave, Steve, Shauney
(Rob) and Norm (Vera), and his grandchildren
Kristen, Jillian, and Nick, Warren and
Sarah and all his friends who truly knew him.
Jim was predeceased by his Father, Norman
Henry, Mother, Isabel Henry (Snow) and older
Brother, Bruce.
