Mrs. Lizette Hall, passed away in Quesnel Memorial
hospital on September 13th, 2006 she is lovingly
remembered by Gail, Elaine, Lillian, Dick and
Shirley, friends and relatives.
Lizette as I knew her was always known as “auntie”
to me. She always expressed her love for me being
the eldest daughter of Solomon and Juliette Prince.
She was a strong woman and had a desire to excel
despite her limited education. She was an inspiration for me as a writer and as an oral storyteller. The times I visited she was very uplifting when I listened to her words as she reminisced about the people and of her parents. I knew that she was gifted with an excellent memory just like her father Louis Billy Prince including her remarkable gift of the Carrier language.
She was the last of Louis Billy and Louisa Princeʼs
family. My dad Solomon was the last living native
veteran in Fort St. James and he died on November
4th, 2005. Lillian Sam & family.
