Mark Schima

Born August 26, 1962, in Edmonton

Alberta, Mark passed

quietly on April 2, 2007 after a

solid fi ght against cancer.

Mark’s family moved to

Texada Island BC in 1963, and

he grew up in a rural lifestyle

of fi shing, farming, logging, fl ying,

sports, things he loved to

the very end. Marks travels took him to the Okanagan, the Cariboo,

and on to Northern BC, where he found his true love – 18

Wheels. Open highways, mountain roads, and a “Place Where

Everybody Knows Your Name”.

From Fort St James to Dallas Texas, along many hundreds of

miles of blacktop and backroads, no load too challenging, Mark

was never happier than his years as a “Diesel Tramp”.

Mark spent his past two years in Powell River BC with his

dearest Mother Peggy Schima, also leaves behind his sister Colleen

of Powell River and brother David of North Vancouver.

No service by his request, donations in his memory may be

made to 22 Red Knight Sqaudron Air Cadet (Powell River).
