Reo David Martin was born on January 4, 1945.
He passed away October 24, 2011.
He attended school at Wells, Ruby Creek (near
Quesnel) Fort St James, Arrowpark, Nakusp and
Prince George College.
Over his life he drove truck for the Department
of Highways, did underground mining at Pinchi
Lake, logged in the Fort St James and Kamloops
areas, bartended, worked as a jail guard, worked
in the shop at Stuart Lake Lumber, owned his own
Septic Truck, drove Block Truck and operated the
Meadowview Lodge.
Reo served as a hockey and ball coach, President
of the Fort St James Minor Hockey Association
and District Director for the BC Minor Hockey
Association.
He coached and managed the Fort St James Stars
that went on to win the Coy Cup (BC Provincial
Championship for Senior Men) in 1999.
Reo is survived and will be sadly missed by his
wife Carol of 46 years, their two children, Melanie
(Maury) Spooner and Dexter (Teena) Martin and fi ve
Grandchildren;
TY, Reo, Karli, Mara and Cash; his sisters Louise
and Lynn-Anne and brothers; Brian, Donald, Roger,
Bruce, Terry, Gordie, and Kenny, and his many
friends.
Reo was predeceased by; Parents; Reo and Norma
and brothers; Patrick and Darryl.
