The Fort St. James Sled Dog Association received this letter from the World Champion Jr. Sprint musher, who recently attended our event.

I thought folks may be interested to learn how world class mushers view this local race.

This year was challenging for us as organisers, given snow conditions on the lake.

My huge thanks to all who helped us.  I also want to mention a special thank you to All-West Glass, an important sponsor that I inadvertently left off our official thank-you list. My apologies.

This event is well thought of in the eyes of mushers who travel long distances to attend these races.  Good for you, Fort St. James!

Letter to the Sled Dog Association:

On behalf of Rachel and myself we would like to say a big thank-you to all who are involved in putting on your event.

We have raced for 25 years and Rachel for the past 11 years.

We have been have met a plethora of event organizers, volunteers, officials and spectators over the years.

Your event in Fort St. James has definitely ranked very high on our list of our favourite visits.

Never have we been involved in a race so pleasant to meet and deal with.

We had a great time and it was well worth our effort to have made it to your event.

We well know the effort involved in putting on an event such as yours.

I would like to encourage all involved to continue pursuing this race into the future and make it priority to go through to make it happen again.

Thanks to the people involved, the sponsors and the people of Fort St. James for hosting this event.

Thanks also for the great meal that was provided.

We have made it safe and sound to Fairbanks for the IFSS world championships.
