Jean Smith, vice president of the Ladies Auxiliary to Branch 268 of the Royal Canadian Legion (right) presents a cheque to Linda Connoly of the Fort St. James Search and Rescue.
The cheque for $500 will go towards the purchase of a survival suit for ice rescues and water rescues to protect searchers.
The search and rescue will be fundraising for more of the suits to try and purchase a few for their operations.
