The Snowmobile drag races slated for February 15-17 have been cancelled.
The Fort St. James Chamber of Commerce Manager Miguel Romero said the event had to be canceled due to a lack of volunteers coming forward.
Murray Ridge Ski Area is looking at doing some type of snowmobile event such as a hill climb this year, which would offset the loss of the drag races.
While only in the early stages, an event could take place towards the end of the ski hill season (snow permitting).
