Fort St. James National Historic Site will join 166 national historic sites across Canada in offering free admission during this day. As each park and site creates unique and different activities for each venue and location, Fort St. James is unique in offering a Salmon themed day across Canada on July 16 this year.

Tim McEwan, president and chief executive officer of Initiatives Prince George Development Corporation was the guest speaker at the local chamber of commerce annual general meeting on June 22. His presentation, entitled “Northern B.C.’s Decade” spoke of his optimism for the northern economy and of needing to have a “vision” for the region as well as the importance of emerging Asian markets.
