With a referendum for a proposed $12 million pool in Vanderhoof coming up this year, the pool committee is working hard to make the facility as financially viable as possible. During the last week, members of the committee have been speaking to neighboring communities in attempt to muster up some financial support for the building and maintenance of a pool in Vanderhoof.

The Fort St. James Medical Clinic is expecting a physician shortage over the next four months especially for the first 4 weeks of March when there will only be 2 doctors in town. As a result, the physicians will be stretched to provide both clinical and emergency services during this time. Unfortunately, this will result in longer wait times for patients requiring non-urgent clinic appointments.
