Train the trainer -Canning the workshop for Fort St. James

The workshop was put on jointly by Bernardin and Fresh Choice Kitchens, a project of the Greater Vancouver Foodbank Society, which works with community based organizations. The goal of the “Train the Trainer” workshop was to teach the techniques to community kitchen leaders so they can then put on workshops in their own communities and disseminate the information to make for more sustainable communities.

Local talent to represent Nechako Lakes in Kamloops Jerusha Turgeon is a young woman of many talents. She will get to show off at least one of these talents during the B.C. Festival of the Performing Arts in Kamloops in June. Jerusha will be performing in the classical voice category, representing the Nechako Valley Performing Arts.
